Van Helsing Boombox

Many times the tone of a song completely and entirely fits the mood that I feel. I am positive this is true for many people. The cool part is, sometimes the lyrics match it perfectly as well! Sometimes it isn't perfect. Sometimes the tone of a song, musically, fits my emotion perfectly, but the lyrics don't fit. Sometimes the opposite is the case. In this case, the tone of the song fits very well what I have been feeling lately, and the lyrics fit somewhat well. Certain lines fit very well.

The first two lines of this song really fit me right now.

But either way, this is why every once in a while I put lyrics to songs on those crappy myspace bulletins (or excuses for attention, as I see them). Right now, I feel Van Helsing Boombox, from Man Man's greatest album, Six Demon Bag, fits my mood. Go get it.

"Only time will tell if I'll allow the
scenery around to eat me alive.

I want to sleep for weeks like a dog at her feet
even though I know it won't work out in the long run!!!!

So I burn down the wall, breathe my good shadow
those arms I once knew, hold me like gold
I learn how to speak a forgotten language
I fall in the sea but forget how to swim.

When anything that's anything becomes nothing that's everything
and nothing is the only thing you ever seem to have.

When anything that's anything becomes nothing that's everything
and nothing is the only thing you ever seem to have.

But only time will tell if I'll allow
the scenery around to eat me alive.

I want to sleep for weeks like a dog at her feet
even though I know it won't work out in the long run!!

So I burn down the bone, breathe my good shadow
those arms I once knew, hold me like gold
I learn how to speak a defeated language
I fall in the street as I howl at the moon.

When anything that's anything becomes nothing that's everything
and nothing is the only thing you ever seem to have....

When anything that's anything becomes nothing that's everything
and nothing is the only thing you ever seem to have....

When anything that's anything becomes nothing that's everything
and nothing is the only thing you ever seem to have....

When anything that's anything becomes nothing that's everything
and nothing is the only thing you ever seem to have!!!!!!!!!!"

Anyways. I thought this fit me currently. People can interpret anything however they want to, naturally.

Of course whatever people hear or see, they are going to associate it in a manner that fits appropriate to their situations, but that's part of the beauty of art, isn't it?
